After having been a little crazy on my schedule for Friday and Saturday, it was nice to be somewhat normal today. My mom and her husband came into town and we were able to enjoy a wonderful dinner at Jianna’s with them. I had called Jianna’s earlier in the week to make sure they would be able to accommodate our Whole30 needs; and they were fabulous. I even tried olives again and guess what? I liked them! Now, I have a new healthy fat that I can add to the rotation.
What went well?
MG– I ate at more of a regular schedule and made certain that they were varied and included vegetables.
G– I had emergency while I traveled which was nice after not eating enough at lunch. I also enjoyed dinner with MG’s family.
What could have gone better?
MG– I definitely could’ve eaten lunch earlier than I did but I was trying to get my house cleaned up and running errands so I put eating to the back burner for a little too long.
G– I’m not feeling 100% after traveling and I’m really missing some of the home remedies such as chicken noodle soup.
What will you do tomorrow?
MG– I feel like I need to make sure that I have enough to eat at meals and make sure they are filling enough.
G– Meal prep in the morning and try to boost my immune system with eating lots of veggies and drinking compliant tea.
Thingamajig of the Day
I really dislike sponges. I feel like they are super gross all the time and super smelly even when you put them in the dishwasher or do the microwave disinfecting trick. Well, a few years ago, my mom gave me a Wet-it Sponge and I absolutely love them. They have cute prints and they hold up for a long time. You can wash them in the dishwasher, washing machine, or put bleach on them to disinfect them (just be sure you don’t put white vinegar on them!!). I got myself a few this weekend while in Asheville at L.O.F.T. Oh, and if you don’t want to use them on your dishes, you can supposedly use them in place of a washcloth!
