Day 28-Opa!

I honestly never thought that I would come to the point in my Whole30 where I forgot I was doing a Whole30. This morning I prepped tuna fish and cucumbers for lunch, since we ate out last night. I cooked up some chorizo for Mary Gwen, I think she’s addicted, and some breakfast sausage from Luck’y Market for me. I tried a new recipe tonight Greek Meatballs with Avocado Tzatziki Sauce by Primally Inspired plated on a bed of arugula and baked some potato wedges. It was amazing!

Day 28:

What went well?

MG– I’ve felt pretty good overall, I still do have random cravings for things that aren’t Whole30 and I’ve decided that I won’t be reintroducing on day 31. My stomach feels flatter and each day I continue to feel like I learn more about my eating habits.

G-Honestly, Whole30 has become second nature to me. When it occurred to me that we didn’t have any food prepped for lunches today, it was very natural for me to make tuna fish with veggies.

What could have gone better?

MG– Today was super busy at work and I couldn’t eat while counting cash (gross!) so I waited too long to eat lunch. I’ve found that when I wait that long, I’m still hungry and it’s harder to get full for me.

G-While tuna fish was really the only option we had for a quick lunch meal this morning, it has gotten a little old. Really wish we could find compliant lunch meat or something else for easier lunch.

What will you do tomorrow?

MG– I’m going to try to eat at a more reasonable hour for lunch and as always work on getting more water.

G-With food prepped and ready for tomorrow, I am excited to try another new recipe and work on my Food Freedom introduction plan.

Thingamajig of the day:

I’ll be honest, I haven’t been feeling that well the past few days. I can’t tell if its just my allergies or something more, but regardless with all the Flu and viruses I am not taking any chances. A while back, when Mary Gwen and I decided that we were going to try Young Living Essential Oils, I bought us both InnooCare Essential Oil Diffuser for our offices. I have been diffusing Eucalyptus and Wintergreen, and I can definitely feel a difference in my sinuses. Even if you aren’t entirely convinced about oils, they will make your house smell good; but,  I would highly suggest trying them for immunity boosting,if nothing else.
